On Tuesday, Kent County moved one step closer to becoming more energy efficient.

The commissioners agreed to continue negotiations with Johnson Controls Inc., a Milwaukee, Wis. based company that specializes in automotive interiors, but has made a niche market for itself in making businesses and communities more energy efficient.
